Gold Canyon’s on-site activities director is there to make certain there’s always something to do. Always open to new suggestions, the activities director is there to promise you you’ll love what’s going on. That’s why you’ll notice a wide variety of on-going activities and arts and crafts from quilting, woodcarving, native basket weaving, cookouts, and motor coach tours to shopping, plays, and special events.
Gold Canyon community retirement lets you kick up your heels with live entertainment and special dances (major holidays plus themes like M*A*SH and Gillligan's Island). For those afflicted with two left feet (and for dancers too), there’s music, magic, comedy and much, much more.
Over-55 doesn’t mean under-exercised. If you want to keep in shape, in groups or on your own regimen, Gold Canyon makes it easy and inviting. Tee off with new friends on our 9-hole golf course, or join a league for men, women, or couples. Get moving with tennis, billiards, shuffleboard, pickle ball, and several softball teams. Our very active hiking group will show you stunning landscapes. Inside, the fully equipped fitness center is your personal toning space.
Love water? Jump in the pool to swim laps, do water aerobics, and play water volleyball. Or just enjoy the poolside conversation areas and hot tubs, where you can meet and mingle with fellow water and sun worshippers.
Our sauna and steam room beckon after your workout or whenever you need deep relaxation. A considerable benefit of Gold Canyon inclusiveness? Schedule an appointment with our on-site massage therapist.
Active senior living includes keeping your mind young along with your body. Gold Canyon’s residents have formed several welcoming clubs. We are proud of the people here who are willing to share their knowledge and passions with others. There is always something new to learn or do. If you’ve ever said, “That looks like fun. Some day I’ll give it a try,” the time is here and now—while enjoying your vacation away from ice and snow.
If you have an idea for a class or club, see our activity director. If we can generate enough interest, we will do our best to accommodate you or assist you in starting your own.
